What's new

Is there a market for old mech mods and RBA’s?

It was the new addition to the tobacco products directive. That we all know and hate. Article 20 was the new regulations that pretty much killed the vape industry as we knew it. Giving birth to what we know today.

2ml leak proof tanks. Nothing higher than 18mg liquids. 10ml bottle sizes. Restrictions on flavours to have ingredients listed and safety certificates purchased. Etc etc.

Sorry mate, I had a serious head injury a few years ago that has impacted my memory, now you mention 2ML tanks, nothing higher than 18MG etc I remember article 20 now.

At least people like us still have our old mods and can keep alive that style of vaping if we want too. I am keeping it alive, was using a mech earlier but now am using this Istick Pico loaded with Arctic fox custom firmware with a Bambino by Jaybo RDA, with a 7 wrap 26G Titanium 01 build in TC mode, giving a fantastic vape and lots of flavour and is ultra compact

Its ok dude no worries. Out that in for any new vapours out there that didn't fully understand what tod did to vaping.

Still have a Pico. In black. Not that good a condition as for a while was my daily work carry so a little beaten up. Surprised it still fires to be fair.

I did have one in white but no idea what happened too it, it was in the collection but now gone. That one turned up today from another forum member with some other mods, I wanted the Pico again for its small size and also the Arctic fox custom firmware.

Had my white pico since 2020 I think, and a pico le re-skinned with white leather first day of buying it.

The Pico I can't find was white- I may have given it to a friend trying to quit smoking, as I did give away a few of my mods for this reason a few years ago where the collection was so big, but don't remember doing it.

The one you reskinned in white leather looks different, as the leather does not go all the way around, is this a later version of the Pico?

The new one is stainless steel, looks great with the Bambino and when I get payed I am ordering some replacement glass for the Wotofo Serpent mini tank, as I have broken the glass and remember the serpent mini being a fantastic tank to pair with the Pico- ultra compact and a fantastic vape from that RTA.
Where it is stainless steel it will all match too which is cool.

Never know the market may come back at some point.
We may be about to have a mini resurgence as disposables are scheduled to be banned shortly. From what I can tell, they must feature a replaceable pod / tank, cell and coil going forwards. Ironically this is actually backwards to the US, where more and more of them have integrated cells due to restrictions against shipping loose cells. I'm not too concerned about that personally, the pod based systems have improved so much there isn't much point using the disposables beyond novelty. The flavours is more of an issue.
