Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening!

So I recently got my first RTA. A Advken Manta to be exact, was nearly a Zeus but this was cheaper so less costly if brake it whilst learning lol.

Anyway onto the problem. I've read some guides, watched some videos etc and after a few tries I'm still struggling to get it to vape nicely. The tank gets hot and doesn't vape well :/ (I don't really know how else to describe it).

This is what Ive tried with:

Coilfather pre made coils:
0.45ohm Alien Clapton Coil
0.36ohm Tiger Coil

w/ Simple cotton 100% Pure Organic Japanese Cotton.

My device is ready the Ohm's as near perfect to the apparent Ohm's. Also tried varying wattage with no prevail. So any advice on what on any beginner mistakes I could be making?

Thanks in advance.

Difficult to say without seeing your build and knowing what metal coils you are using (Kathal, Ni80, SS316 etc.)

But most common issues are wicking just right, a fine line between too much or not enough.

The other thing is some coils simply aren't suitable for your tank, I would have started with some simple claptons.

Thanks for the reply. Tomorrow I'll try again with plain Jane Claptons and take some photos and provide some more information ;)

I don’t know the tank but coil position can have a massive effect on how well it vapes.

Rewatch the videos and pay attention to coil placement.

Hi @Chu. ("Bless you!"). Here's a quick question: what were you using prior to the manta? It's quite possible that you prefer a certain type of airflow.

Roger, Will do ;)

I've been using the Gnome King Tank w/ WM02 coil. It's Don t think its the airflow which is the problem it's more the lack of flavour and quality/smoothness of the vapour.

Can you post a picture of your build?

Keep it as simple as possible until you are confident building

Did you get them heating evenly and from the centre out, and get rid of any hotspots before you wicked them? You could check steam engine for mod setting for those coils maybe?
