First SS Wick attempt

Got an AgaT on Friday and did the wick and mesh method along with the drill method for the coil. Also twisted the ends and it has been going great guns ever since. Doesn't go red though, just creates plumes of vapour. Still not getting the same taste as the Aga S maybe because I have no blow torch to oxidise the mesh. Does it eventually come round on its own. When I did my S I just held it over a candle. But the wife hadn't set any off at the time of doing the T.

I read somewhere that the smaller chamber might make it taste better, but I dont know for sure (this was whilst reading up on C9V Maga)

Did you use the pulse method to oxidise the wick (where it touches the coil)? Its all about stopping the wick from conducting electricity. Maybe you just like the taste of candle soot :D
You dont want it glowing red (not whilst you have juice in it) that would be a hotspot & will taste nasty.

Sorry for the late reply, dog walking.
Did a bit of pulsing just to make sure it was good to go and was glowing red on all four coils, so maybe done enough. Seems to be getting better daily so I'll give it time. Looked at the price of a blow torch but hard to justify might utilise the gas BBQ as a make do.

You can get the kitchen craft ones you refill with butane lighter gas for a few quid ;)

Get a proper 1. Big man tools. Ugh!
