Yep, the aim is to make a good contact with the base with the end of the coil, that is basically the negative end of the coil. The other end should be making a good contact as high up the centre post which then acts as the positive end. The coils themself should be free floating and not touching any other part of the atomiser, they should just wrap the wick.
