First tube mod

The sebone is hybrid, normally sold in kits (atty and tube)
Make sure it's all clean, put your build in and check for shorts and floating ohms, screw the atty into the tube then put your battery in. Check the battery for and tears or defects first. As a suggestion I try and have all my cells positive down as if there's an issue the cell will vent from the positive and away from your face (I think the sebone has vent holes in the switch) once it's together give it a few goes whilst double checking for hotspots, warm buttons etc. If it doesn't feel right at any point whip the battery out.
Good advice thanks dude

I would only ever put a battery positive down if the tube mod is internally insulated. If it's not insulated; positive up.

Also, if you're using a hybrid mech mod then the 510 pin on whatever rda you're using *MUST* protrude sufficiently.

If you've decided to buy a hybrid mech mod, I hope you've done your homework.

I use mech tubes a lot and like @Mitz says positive to the atty! If you have a ripped wrap on your battery or even a problem with your switch you don't notice and the battery is positive down your switch could hard short and vent your battery where as positive up the worst that can happen is your mod will autofire [emoji5]

Funny thing is i ALWAYS run positive down on mech tubes, always check 510 is protruding and check the threads are clean and theres NO rips or slights pin holes in your battery, why do i run positive down? ...well if and i mean IF there was a problem that i have stupidly overlooked (which WOULD be rare) then if the battery was to vent then it will vent at the BOTTOM and NOT near your face.
Just remember safety checks are paramount with mechs and also with a single 18650 tube mech NEVER build below 0.11 ohms...always try to build no lower than 0.14 and you will be fine.

Like others have said, CHECK and CHECK the mod and battery and RDA (if using rda)

But as others have said use it positive to atty.... as i like the way i do mine, plus i have about 3 yrs experience with diff mechs, but i still check everything like its my 1st try of a mech.

And if manufacturer says to use positive up then do as they say and visa versa
