Flavour help

I've never tried FLV Custard although i have an unopened 30ml bottle.
Flavorah concentrates fall in the same bracket of "Super Concentrates" along with inawera and flavourart and suspect your percentages between 3-7 to be on the money so thinking the issue may sit elsewhere.

I suspect from reading your other replies especially about FA Custard Premium that your issue maybe Vanilla?
@R6liam Have you tried plain vanilla and if so whats your thoughts?

Hi@R6liam, I can't comment on that particular flavour and brand but I know with quite a lot of the flavours I try from many manufacturers I usually mix around 15% to get a pretty good flavour.
Some I can mix lower say 10% but others up to 20%.
Steeping longer will increase the flavour over time but your percentages do seem quite low to me.

The percentage I used is what is recommended from the manufacture I think well at least off the website I bought it from anyway but I could try putting it up because some flavours do n

I haven’t really tried vanilla on its own I have tried vanilla swirl and vanilla whipped cream etc and I can taste them but there is one that I couldn’t taste and that’s inawera shisha vanilla I put it into inawera custard and tried it solo but got nothing from that so it could possibly be some vanilla flavours I’m having issues with and I just found that I can’t taste rainbow vapes intense flavoured custards either and I can’t taste the custard from their custard doughnut

Unfortunately in a lot of cases each flavour will require different percentages depending on flavour and manufacturer. Also some people like a mild flavour while others like it stronger.
I've found in the past that I start of at 10% and see how it turns out then adjust accordingly there after.

there was a time I did start at 10% especially with some of the Capella flavours but when I switched brands I was made aware that too much flavour can mute flavours so I started keeping my percentages low especially with brands like flavour art and inawera some I start at 5% and others even at 2.5%-3% depends on the brand and what’s recommended like today I just got some solub arome flavours and these your suppose to mix at 15% -20% and that information came off their own website

Seems like you might just have a problem with this particular flavour profile, have you got someone else you can get to give it a vape and see what they think? Another potential cause might be that re-sellers often buy these concentrates in gallons and then bottle it up themselves, if they don't mix it up properly before re-bottling this kind of thing tends to happen.

And welcome to the forum :)

I can only say that after it's been steeped, if you can't really detect the flavour in it, add more flavour until you find it suitable. It's very difficult when flavour percentages vary so much.
