Finally bit the bullet and bought myself a Floris Delfino Orca enclosure to build ready for VF.

First impression, the build quality, fit and finish on this thing are outstanding. Delrin has a lovely machine finish and with a little polishing will come up beautifully.

Just waiting for some spring battery terminals from Rob at Stealthvape then I can start the build.

Hopefully will remember to take pics as I go this time.

Ordered the box with a 10mm pre-drilled hole for the 510. Thought I would tap a thread for the FDV v4 but as it happened the 510 screwed into the hole without needing to be tapped. Decided to go for the 15.5mm low profile with a SS catch cup.

The nut on the inside is really only there to secure the negative ring, the 510 is held quite securely by the box itself. Replaced the standard v4 core with a squonk core and test fitted the tube.

Test fitting the DNA40.

Fits like glove, the machining on this box is first class. Just a slight sanding of the board edges to remove the nubs left after the excess PCB was removes and the board slips right in with no movement.

Was planning to use a set of vamo buttons but the fire button is too thick and would need filing so decided to use the supplied delrin ones.

The front plate requires no glue and holds in place just great with press fit.

Just waiting for the battery contacts to arrive then I can start wiring up.[/ATTACH]

I have one of these I built, awesome box - as you said the quality is incredible. Mine works like a charm, only downfall i would say has been the fat daddy vapes 510, it leaks like a cunt. Leave your bottle on there with juice in... Go to bed ... By the morning it will have pissed itself all over your box :)

I'd highly recommend getting a varitube one instead, il be swapping mine out for it soon.

Also have a sx350j box ready to build, just waiting on some parts to arrive now :)

I've built two squonkers with the FDV's without issue so far so will see how it goes. If it starts causing problems then maybe I'll switch it out for a varitube.

Well all finished... Wiring chip was a doddle as it only uses the battery and 510 connections. Holes and wire channels are in exactly the right places no adjustment required.

Connecting the posi and neg parts of the 510 was a bit of a pain as the wires are so short but doable. Had the trim a bit off the posi battery plate as it was very close to the 510 nut.

Once the battery plates were epoxied in place it was ready to roll.

Overall quite an easy build and very pleased with the results.

This is such a great looking mod! I'm going to start building soon..getting my head round learning soldering and sourcing parts at the mo. What did you specify as the 510 hole? Just the 10mm option?
