Fogger by Yi Loong

instead of oring i got a piece of heat shrink tube.. cut it to about 2mm, and placed it around the 510. a light torch with a lighter..and presto, an insulated connector.

now if only this fogger gave anything else than dry hits or flooding.. :sleepy:

I cant use it with mesh for some reason, it just doesnt like me. However! I can do silica mesh hybrid on it, or 3mm silica wick on its own :)

Microcoil and cotton works wonderfully for me.

Cotton sized so that it snugly fits into the slots in the well. Cotton protruding out of the well cut just shy of the edge of the atty. As the chimney screws down (without the o-ring) it mildly compresses the protruding cotton which draws it towards the well.

Wicks brilliantly, vapes like a good'un. So well in fact I doubt I'll try any other kind of set-up. I've replaced the cotton four times now after dry burning the coil, each time met with success.

When I get a minute I'll do a photo of the build if that helps. :)

So out of interest, what resisstance are you running it at Mawsley ?

1.2ohm bud. Microcoil of something like 8 wraps of .3 Kanthal around one of my smaller jewel screwdrivers...can't tell you the size but when I do piccies you'll be able to get the gist.

Airflow is bollocks though, the threads are just too loose to give any fine adjustment so I keep it fully open. The homebrew I use is so strongly flavoured it still give great taste with the clouds.

I kept the coil from the previous build and dry burnt it. A snatch of cotton roughly cut to shape.

The screwdriver is around a 2mm, I didn't bother to measure it. I used it to straighten the coils after removing the old wick to make threading the new one easier.

This wick was a bit too wide, I trimmed it after this pic to level it off at the top of the slot.

I heated the coil up and used tweasers to get the rings close together again before threading the new wick through.

Then I trimmed the ends, primed the wick and screwed down the chimney, just so...

Do you find it noisy? Mine sounds like breathing with a cold.. :/

Yes, there is that, but I find the taste and volume of vape more than makes up for it. I prefer it to the wheezing noise the Ithaka makes! :D

I see.. can only compare it to the other bottom coil i have, the dream. And that one is not noisy at all.
