Ok so I'm planning on getting into squonking and will be putting together a squonker box soon. But wanted to see what my options were with regards to atties.
Had a quick look over on Modmaker.co.uk and decided to have a look at their FDV posi pin. So orderd one and after the usual rapid delivery decided to give it a test.
These pins are an m2.5 threaded replacement for the stock posi pins with a hole through the center. Decided to use a Freakshow mini as the donor atty as I was pretty sure it had m2.5 threading and a hollow posi post. So removed the stock posi screw, marked the posi post were it meets the insulator and tapped out the posi post. Checked the new pin and it fitted fine just a little bit too long.
So I cut two slots in the posi post just above the mark where it meets the insulator until it exposed the hollow core. Trimmed the posi screw to length and reassembled.
Results below.
