Howdy,

TLDR - Continue quest to find elusive o rings or get a new rig?

So, I have a Geekvape Aegis Max with a Zeus tank. I did have an Aegis Legend with a Falcon tank but that rig was bulky and I only ripped cotton at 70w so seemed like a waste.

Anyway, the Zeus Max combo. I like the mod and the tank looks good, bit noisy due to the design and the coils don't have amazing durability but it's a good looking and more compact setup than the Legend.

I wanted a more robust coil due to the aforementioned durability of the Z coils so bought myself a Freemax Mesh Pro 2 Resin tank and was bitterly disappointed with that. Primed the huge dual mesh cotton beds and pampered them with 30w fairy puffs to get them singing but the flavour just never materialised. Anyway. I went back to the Zeus and continued partying in flavour town until I realised I'd burnt through 2 O Rings and now can't find any of them specifically for the Zeus. The ring I'm after goes around the base of the drip tip that you unscrew from the kidney shaped fill holes. I don't know what diameter it is, I don't know if it's got a specific thickness or density or if it's a unique size or just a 10mm bit of rubber that can be bought from Screwfix!? Anybody have any ideas?

I saw a thread on Reddit with a dude pleading for vendors of this mythical O ring and thought I'd try my luck on this forum which seems like a font of vaping wisdom and experience.

I'm also looking at the possibility of switching my setup to something a bit newer. I like the idea of built in batteries and I've just learnt what DNA Mods are... Do I need temperature controlled vape in my life? What's so great about it?

I need a mod that's got excellent battery, maxes out at 100w because I'm sticking to Punx/Riot Squad juice, I want coils that punch me with flavour and can produce enough clouds that would make someone consider calling the emergency services... all of this in the smallest form factor. I looked at Voopoo, Smok and Vaporesso mods and just saw the new Geekvape Mini 2 or M100 (counterintuitive naming strategy) and tbh, I don't know enough about things like DNA or squonking to know if that's my jam or if they're for connoisseurs and specialists or if I've already got the ideal rig and it just happens to be a bit outdated?

I'd be interested to know what you fine purveyors of vapour creation think I should do or consider.

Picture attached because I probably butchered the description of that O Ring.

TIA

If you've done the right thing and kept the box for the tank in question you'll find a little poly bag inside containing spare Orings.
Hi and welcome btw

Hey and thanks. I kept the box and it only had one spare ring of that size. I think there's some kinda design issue with this O ring specifically because I got through them the way I got through lighters as a smoker!

Just checked my spare O-ring sets for my Zeus RTA's, looks like the one your after is approx Inside Dia = 8mm Thickness = 1.2mm

Closest thing I could find is here, Nitrile is a bit firmer than the clear silicone, might last you longer but might also be a bit tighter, as long as you keep it lubed you should be ok as they say :54:

Hope it helps :D

I am pathetically grateful for this! I wholeheartedly appreciate the time and effort you took to point me in this direction.

Orders it just now. 2-7 days delivery. Will update once received.

Hope karma repays you and I'll bear this deed in mind and pay it forward.

:thankyou:

Do you have an update on those o-rings mate? In the same situation, the o-rings you get with the Zeus tank are made of paper, and need to get some replacemets asap.

Hi and welcome to the planet.
the original poster has not logged in since his last post above on september 23rd so dont expect a reply.
might be worth starting a new post in the new user section or try the O rings posted by @Squidgy

edit
just remembered that on my first max tank it split the o ring on the first time i put the tank back together.
just left it with the split and its worked perfectly with no leaks

Update: For anyone who stumbles upon this thread with the same issue. Ordered the O-Rings above, they do not work, the cap will not close with those, have ordered 1mm thick O-Rings instead. Will post if that hopefully works. It appears that Nitrile is too though/resistance compared to the silicon rings to tighten the cap and create a seal. Just wish GeekVape made a better design for that O-Ring.
