General flavouring percentages

Hi there,

I'm interested into DIY, I read some guides, checked some calculators etc.
I'm not interested into nicotine at all so all that calculating part goes straight out of the window for me.

My question is: how much flavouring needs to be added ?

From what I can see it's about 20% of the whole thing, so 20% flavours / 80% base(pg/Vg).

Is there a rule about this ? What happens if you do like 30% flavours / 70% base ?

I do understand the basics but this is really unclear to me.

From 10% to 30% depending on manufacturers specifications.
