getting low resistance warnings all of a sudden

Yes, i have had that problem a couple of times, so i double check it these day's. Good shout though!

Certainly odd, everything looks stella from the pics. Do you have an ohm reader or another mod to check it on? At this point I'd give it a thorough cleaning just to make sure there's not a gunk build up somewhere

I had this problem a few months ago (and asked for advice here). It was a really really thin bit of loose trailing wire. Have a proper look around the posts and down by the deck. Good luck!

It wont even dry fire without putting it together

Try the tank on another mod or try another tank on your crown mod to see if its an issue with the mod.

I am now using my original crown 4 tank on my mod, but I only have one mod. Actually that isn't true, I have an old stick mod but I a don't think it would power this deck..

Just stick it on the istick to check the resistance. Have you snipped off that excess wire @StrawberryRipple pointed out?

That rules out it being an issue with the mod so you need to explore the tank or build more.
What does your mod fire down to?
Could the resistance of the coil be too low?
If not then all I can say is something will be touching somewhere that shouldn't be touching.

I cant get my head around it, as you can imagine i have examined this damn thing pretty closely by this point in the proceedings and i just cant see anything wrong and have made 4 different coils and none of them will work.


I suppose it is feasible that my mod has developed a fault and for some reason doesnt want to go down the low ohmage required as the tank i am now using is firing at .5ohm with factory made mesh coils. I am bidding on a job lot of tanks and mods on ebay so if all goes well i will be able to have a mess around with some different setups and see whats what in a few days.
