What's new

Getting no flavour after 4 or 5 puffs, is it just me?

I took the thing back the following week (local market trader), and he pulled them all off the stall. He randomly checked a couple (broke them open) and they were all the same. Seemed he'd been sold a duff fake batch, which he also put a notice up asking customers to return them for a refund (very genuine guy). Following week he had another load which were all good, and although they had 1000 mAh on the label, they actually contain an 1100 mAh battery cell LOL

hi, thanks for replies, this is getting quite frustrating as it doesn't seem to matter what I do, I just get same results, I have added a pic of the two I am using, don't know if this might help

Have you tried cleaning the top of the battery where you screw on the clearomiser ? Scrunge up a bit of tissue & work it around the inner circle of the battery connetor. Liquid can occassionally drip down from the clearomiser onto the battery, If you look at the tissue after use you might see "dirt" on it. It's not dirt but the liquid has oxidised on top of the battery.

At the end of the day you need a good electrical connection between the battery & the clearomiser. It's good practise to do this regularly.

Hi, yes cleaned the battery, no difference. I'm convinced I'm peculiar & just destined that this will be my vaping experience, disappointing but I'm going to have to live with it I think. I don't know of any 'experts' in my local area who could possibly help, so I'll just put up with it :-(

One looks like a ce4 or iclear16, not sure about the other. It might be worth trying something else. Evod is a good cheap tank, but if you have a bit more cash, protank mini 2 is very good. However, you're getting flavour back when you return to it, so it could just be that you're getting too used to the flavour & not tasting it as much. Try switching between tanks with 2 different flavours to keep your taste buds interested

You can get get a cheap bunch of ce4's from ebay....10 for £10!!! ce4's are often not good and ebay ones can be even worse, but probably 5 out of 10 will be okay, thats how i started vaping a 10 pack from ebay for £10 and a cheap fake ego 900mah battery for £5, and i still got some good clouds and flavour, and it showed me that vaping does work. Its thanks to ebay that i started vaping, and my corner shop that sold cigalikes.

If you got both those batteries from the same vendor, I would suspect that you have two fake/iffy batteries. The fact that you are getting initial strong vape, then it fades off, shouts of power/battery issue to me.

Both batteries were from different vendors, the vapour is still there, it is the taste that is not there after the first 4 or 5 drags, that is what makes me think this is just something that is typical to me and doesn't seem to be an issue with the equipment

Marcus it may be worth trying a really strong flavour (maybe something you wouldn't normally vape - menthol? ) and see if you get the same issue. I would suggest Spider Venom from Vapemunki but its a tank cracker so you won't be able to use it in a clearo!

As has been said here try a strong flavour, when I started I vaped RY4 it got bland and I cant stand the smell now let alone vape it but I bought some small 5ml tester bottles from liberty flights of various flavours one being Absinthe that woke my taste buds up.
There are possibly a couple of factors here smoking damages taste buds which will come back and every ex smoker has different experiences I noticed subtle things like I noticed pepper more, the other is the taste buds and the brains receptors become normalised to flavours I have 3 tanks on the go and switch between them. Try some testers some find they like sweet flavours some fruit, some tabacco flavours most of us find its trial and error when you start.
