Good morning everyone!
I've finally bitten the bullet and ordered us a brand new, all singing, all dancing server.
With membership numbers growing faster than expected and over 1.2 million pageviews a month, our creaky little server is showing signs of strain. All the optimization in the world is not fixing this badboy.
For those that are interested it will feature 12 Cores and 32GB RAM, a drastic improvement on our current hardware.
I'm awaiting confirmation and expect to hear within the next 24 hours. After this I will begin hardening security and optimizing. Once this is complete I'll start moving us over.
What does this mean for you?
In the next few weeks we will have some downtime. Don't worry you will be warned in advance and downtime should be minimal.
After this we should have a super speedy forum!
