Hows it going guys. Just purchased a new Griffin RTA. Attempted a quick first build on it just to try it out. 6 wraps of 28g kanthal wire. Not sure on the diameter. Fired up nice and evenly anyway. Havin quite a bit of hot liquid on my tongue. Obviously not pleasant. Tried it between 15 and 40w does it on all settings unless i draw fast and hard on 40w. Anyone own a griffin and can advise me on how they build and wick :) i also have ni200 wire so am also partial to temp builds. Thanks in advance :)

I did my first build on the griffin today, I did 9 wraps of 28ga Kanthal around a 3mm screwdriver for about 0.8Ω

The wicking technique I used was similar to this dude's (starts about 14 minutes in).

I peeled the outer layer off both sides of my cotton, which I don't think he does in the video and I used a small screwdriver to poke the wick in so that it was only just poking out from under the little ring that holds the wick in. I also didn't bother juicing the cotton until after I'd tucked it in.

So far it's been going great, no spitting or dry hits at anything between 20 and 35W (I'm using Flawless Aftermath which I think is 80%VG)

Hope that helps

If it's any help have a look in the How To's section, there's a pretty good video somewhere near the top.

Hey guys, what have you found to be the best build for flavour for the tank. I only had 24g and 26g wire so did a 24g 8 wraps 2.5mm ID came to around 0.32 . I did 8 wraps for surface area. The deck is big [emoji85]. Also think I need a pipeline running to my tank. This thing sucks juice like crazy lol

iv got 7 wraps 24g kanthal build atm reading 0.35ohms. just slapped the griffin on my new RX200 and is awesome upto around 70-75w then sytarts to dry hit. not sure how to avoid this lol.

Hi all I love the griffin and Clapton works a treat giving a steady ramp up, good flavour and vapour, as @eightbitraptor says I also don't remove the ring and tuck cotton within the ring with a piece of kanthal as to not disturb or squash cotton, if getting any sort of dry hits I suggest making small holes in the juice channel with the Allen key provided in the corner closest to the post as this helps juice flow. I've found that the less cotton used the better but be careful to use enough to not cause leaks. I've included a couple pics, hope it helps
