Looks like the goal posts are being moved by the anti-tobacco brigade. And their gonna go at nicotine it self.
Got this quote
But she stressed that despite the new advice recognising a role for e-cigarettes in keeping some people off tobacco, the ultimate aim was to remove reliance on nicotine entirely.

From here.
Health experts back e-cigarettes to quit smoking - The Scotsman

Simon Clarke's take on it.
Simon Clark - Taking Liberties - Goal is to not only stop people smoking but to "remove reliance on nicotine"

So if this is the case, when are 'they' going to start trying to get people off coffee - after all, it contains all of that terrible caffeine.

Fuck off and leave my personal choices alone you interfering cunt.

It's a common tactic for antis to say that vapers are still addicts if they still use nicotine.

Being the argumentative cowbag that I am, I regularly troll antis by telling them that falling back on negative connotations like the word 'addict' just exposes their agenda for the narrow minded, hate fueled bigotry that it is.

Funny that.. they don't mind using negative labels like 'addict' but if you throw another negative term like 'bigot' into the mix, they get quite shirty.

Go figure. ;)

Here's my own version...

But i stress that despite the new advice recognizing a role for e-cigarettes in keeping some people off tobacco, the ultimate aim is sticking my interfering oar in where it's not wanted & if we remove nicotine altogether we will have achieved nothing of significance in the history of mankind but fuck it, let's do it anyway because we're bastards.

Nobody seems to have picked up on the ANTZ rising panic that if they accept e-cigs are safer and start pointing people towards them as a route away from tobacco, then they're basically promoting a product that will earn them an unemployment cheque so it's like asking turkeys to vote for Xmas. If they switch their focus to getting folks off nicotine entirely, then they can be guaranteed a job for life.

I imagine Fiona Moore along with 3 other "Public Health Advisers" is paid good taxpayers money by the NHS to write stuff like this...

http://www.mnic.nes.scot.nhs.uk/media/22125/smoking_cessation_-_final.pdf

Maybe it's just me and I'm thick but after a couple of sentences it just turns into 40 pages of waffling bullshit. Does anybody read this stuff and decide policy with it? It makes me angry that the NHS wastes money on such crap.

Bring it on I say.
On the subject of nicotine, we can decimate their argument far more easily than the gateway to smoking stuff. :D

True. As a vaper I can choose 0mg nic without help or advice from anyone. If I'm being hectored into no nic I might up my strength to 36mg and buy a pack of Marlboro.
