What's new

Has the end game changed.

I imagine Fiona Moore along with 3 other "Public Health Advisers" is paid good taxpayers money by the NHS to write stuff like this...

http://www.mnic.nes.scot.nhs.uk/media/22125/smoking_cessation_-_final.pdf

Maybe it's just me and I'm thick but after a couple of sentences it just turns into 40 pages of waffling bullshit. Does anybody read this stuff and decide policy with it? It makes me angry that the NHS wastes money on such crap.

Only the first 14 pages are actual substance, the rest is references and supporting evidence. One of the key factors to the ineffectiveness of NRT with pregnant women that jumped out at me was the suggestion that cost of treatment featured as a primary reason why people weren't quitting. Their solution was to promote free NHS services, I would suggest that leaving vaping the hell alone and allowing people to freely use it rather than taxing it would be a good start!

Kudos to you for your patience and analytical skills :2thumbsup:

If they switch their focus to getting folks off nicotine entirely, then they can be guaranteed a job for life.

Even with this comment from Chegs, We know that e-cigs can be successfully used to wean smokers off nicotine altogether, by simply reducing the nic content, over time. So they are stuffed either way.

I cant help but like the idea of suggesting to that po faced bitch that some ecig users do drop to zero nicotine.

Cloud chasers for example.......

So our advice as professional e-cigarette users is that what the nhs needs to provide is 100watt plus capable mods and high temp capable drippers.

I cant help but want to see that put to the interfering fuckwits, after all it achieves their goal of nicotine independence, how can they argue?

That and a variant is pretty cheap all things considered. ....

Money talks, bullshit walks. At the end of the day, despite this recent bandwagonesque fashion adopted by the media and also those that whose education and qualifications should have left them with more common sense, the future of vaping will boil down to Hospital Beds. IMO history and statisticians will prove that vaping has saved the country a blooming fortune.
I'm not anti anything, and certainly not a born again non smoking crusader, but I do wish these folks would put their efforts where it's needed most. Smoking Kills people.
