Afternoon all; this ce4 I'm using now is starting to get a burnt chemical taste when I vape. This is about the 3rd tank full I have used on this ce4, is it time to throw it now, or could it be something else? How many 1.6ml tank fulls can you vape on a ce4 before they are ready for the bin? Thank you....

It depends on the juice you're using, but chemical burnt taste sounds like a wicking problem, try tipping it on its side and rolling the juice around the tank to make the wicks as wet as possible. if it goes away theres your answer if not then you probably need a new head...

All depends on what juice you are running through it. If its say a chocolate mint then it will clog very quickly.

If its the type that you can strip down then you can strip it and clean it.

take the coil head out of the tank, run it under warm water, dab the wicks with kitchen towl, fit it back on the mod (without tank) and dry burn it/blow it/dry burn it........

You can wait for the wicks to dry out or like me fire up a blow torch and give the wicks a few burns

Whack it back together and you should be good to go again.

mine cost £5 and lasted 3 days never again will i buy another
bought from local vendor when waiting for delivery from you know who

Far as I know this is not take-apart-able CE4. Bought it for 2 or 3 £ far as I remember. I'm vaping in it a Banana Split 100% VG 24mg Nic., which up until now has always tasted fine. I seen on a youtube video you can actually take apart and clean a non-take-apart-able CE4 to clean it!!! Might have to try that......

I used to blast my wicks with a hairdryer, cause I'm lazy, but agree with Rexer on this one, give it a wash, if you've got some juice fried on this may be the issue.

I take it I would have to empty ce4 tank juice into another empty container, then wash ce4, then pour back juice into ce4? I have no empty juice containers......:banghead:

Well, I emptied CE4 juice with the chemical taste, into a brand new CE4 with a ready charged ego battery, and guess what? I am still getting the strange chemical taste. Have already vaped about 2 or 3 tanks of this Banana Split juice, and no problems before with the juice. Has juice become dodgy and is it possible I didn't shake juice bottle before or something???
