Two smartphones were purchased last year, so my wife and I, could have and use the covid app. Pleased to have a smartphone, for the camera really. The app is a load of old expensive bollocks though, it probably just makes things up as it goes along.

My daughter gave me her old samsung smartphone.
I don't have it connected to a network but it's useful for storing jpegs of Google Maps of local Toilet facilities when I'm touring the country in my Honda Jazz... with Mrs knome.
