What is there to maintain pop a battery in,a atty on and vape and wait for that wonderful patina

The threads! They tarnish just as quick as the rest of the mod. The copper mod I used to have had chunky threads but they would start to get stiff and sticky after a few days. I'd imagine the nem and its fine threads will be worse. Seemed like I was constantly cleaning it.
Did look purty though.
