Have you tried your heron without the filler and just using it as a tank yet? There's a thread showing how to set it up somewhere on here, but I'm told the flavour is superb.
I really like my Piccolo / Spheroid and my Paps / Heron combo.
I used a Spheroid on a Paps for a long time, but I do not like the look of a 17mm atomizer on a 22mm mod, so when I first heard about a 22mm 'Spheroid' I was very excited.
The waiting time between the first mention of what was to become a Heron and the final launch was tuff, I think, but the result is really good.
I set Heron up with silica-wick exactly as I do with Spheroid and the taste is also almost exactly like Spheroid.
I've seen setup without filler, but I see no reason to set it up without when it tastes so good with.
I have also not tried to set up my atomizers with microcoil and cotton instead of the more common silica-wick, but I will probably try that soon.
They say it should be so easy to change the wick when using microcoil and cotton!
Oh, and I've seen GUS 16 and know someone who appreciates it very much. But there were supposed to be a new version of Piccolo in the course of this year. That is on top of my wish list!
