What's new

Hello. Newby, some question's MINI PROTANK KIT

Thanks for the advice guys.

Still a bit confused lol what is the diffrence between buying a spare mini protank at £9.49 and buying the evod tanks as they are alot cheaper on myepack?

Also how long do the tanks last for?

Apologies again for the daft question's lol.

morning all..

Easy answer. They last a long time...

EVOD's in my opinion perform about the same as a MPT (mini protank). I believe the heads are slightly different, but are never the less interchangeable, so it's perfect for you. If you like your MPT and feel you need a backup at a budget then an EVOD is the way to go. Both tanks are very durable, only 2 main differences are; one looks great and one looks bloody marvelous. One is plastic and the other is glass. Mostly it's a look thing but some liquids have been known to haze or crack plastic tanks i.e lemons, grapefruit, cinnamons.. etc, but don't let this confuse you further, you'll work it out.

I am a big fan of EVOD's - High performance low cost and maintenance and at that price you can't go wrong.

BTW. I noticed from the link you gave that your MPT kit came with 5x 2.5Ohm heads and an EVOD battery? If you have the chance to pick up some single heads on your next order, try a 2.2Ohm and maybe a 1.8Ohm replacement head. You might find you get better results on your 3.7v battery.

Good luck

Thanks for the info mate. What is the diffrence between 2.5Ohm 2.2Ohm and the 1.8Ohm replacement heads?

Which ones should i be buying?

Cheers :)

Start with 50:50, it's probably where you'll end up!!! 70:30 (for me) is too dry. My advice is buy some quality juices, don't go cheap. There are good vendors out there (on here) mixing their own that take a real pride in their product. it may be a little more expensive but it's worth it. you'll see the same names/recommendations springing up time and time again. Don't be feared to try something you don't think you'll like. Those are often the ones that you'll love!!!!

There are actually three versions of the mini. In the original the tank can not be disassembled so thorough cleaning is harder and if the Pyrex tank breaks it can not be replaced. on the other hand it is slightly easier to fill, has a slightly higher capacity, is lighter and to my eye is sleeker in appearance. Version 2 of the Protank mini disassembles for cleaning and the Pyrex tank can be replaced (with tinted glass if that is your fancy). It is available either with a removable drip-tip or fixed.

I would go for the 1.8 Ohm heads especially if you are using standard Ego batteries (i.e. not variable voltage).

To start with, I would try 50/50 mixes and then decide in which direction you wish to move.

I have 2 EVODs and have bought 10 spare coils which are simple to change over. I find that each coil will last about 2 weeks but can vary on usage. If you just have the 1 eGo battery then you'll need lower ohm coils to get the best results so try the 1.8ohm. I got the 2.2ohm coils but I have a battery I can up the voltage on to get better performance. Always good to have at least 1 spare of everything including the battery as you can't use an eGo while it's charging. One thing for sure is you will always be able to ask questions on here and there are plenty of people willing to answer them. Good luck.
