Good evening apes.

Summary: Made 50/50 ~4mg juice (fruity). Not enough "throat hit". Far from what I would like, which is the TH similar to Liquid's Rhub & Cust 12mg juice but with 1/3 of the nic content.

Better explained:

Have you tried any of 12mg juices from LiQuid (One Pound Liquid)?
(I liked the Rhubarb & Cust. the best by the way)

That's the throat hit I'd like to have with my mixes. But if possible with 6mg/ml or ideally 4.5-3mg/ml nicotine content instead of the 12.

First I made 70/30 (VG/PG) juices. I love it. It is smooth but tasty with my Subox kit. So I vape a lot of it (3mg) and I hate the VG feeling down my throat and in my mouth.

Then I tried 55/45 (VG/PG) range. It was bit better but not enough. Not like LiQuid's.

I made all this using 24mg PG based diluent from LiQuid.

Recently I got MPG and 72mg/ml PG based Nicotine.

Made a 50/50 VG/PG liquid (strength: about 4mg/ml).

It certainly does not give me the feeling I got from VG but it does not provide me enough throat hit either.

LiQuid say their 12mg juices are 50/50.

What can I do? Thanks in advance!

if you like the throat hit from 12mg mix up some 12mg juice.

i cant see any reason for you to be droping you nic content if 12mg gives you the hit you like

Thanks but my goal is same throat hit with lower nic content.
Everywhere I look it says (M)PG for throat hit, yet I'm barely feeling any.

This is very confusing. Anyone?

You like the throat hit of nicotine and you can try higher pg and flavours like menthol or mint to try to compensate but if you want less nic you probably have to get used to less throat hit.
You could try dropping the nic slower so you get used to it gradually or just tough it out till you get used to it.

MPG causes throat irritation, which can be interpreted as throat hit. High PG juices feel to me like they have twice as much nic, but not in a pleasant way. I guess it just doesn't irritate you.

You haven't said what tank you have - big volume sub-ohm tanks like the TFV4, Freemax or Crown will give your throat a caress rather than a hit with low nic juices, but for me at least this is just as satisfying. I've had to drop to 3mg with the TFV4 despite having no intention to do so.

i get what your saying but maybe you need to ask yourself why and do some research into that why

Thank you oldhippydude (read many of your posts and learnt so much) and everybody chiming in.

Am I to understand that MPG/PG is "harsher" only compared to VG and actually it is nicotine that gives the throat hit?

If this is the case, why isn't it mentioned anywhere? :)

I guess I should suck it up and make some 12mg juices and learn to vape less, and gradually lower like oldhippydude suggests.

Thanks all!

PS. I use Subox kit with the RBA and make different coils.
