Hi all, not new to vaping but my knowledge is nil.

Currently vaping on (two) Aspire pockex and find them fine but I am looking to upgrade just one device that may lasts me all day or at least have changeable batteries.

I have been looking/reading about mod boxes (if that's the right term) and I am totally confused. I am not looking to chase clouds so I don't need an advanced unit. Im quite happy with the effect my pockex gives.

I thought this is a reasonable price and would suit my needs? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Vaporesso-SWAG-Starter-Genuine-Black/dp/B078SZ3ZW1/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=mod+kits+vape+18650&qid=1557415505&s=drugstore&sr=1-6

As I understand I could go and buy 18650 batteries and a charger and I would have all I need? My other query would be coils...I take it most devices are sub ohm like my pockex nowadays. Ideally I would like my new device to have coils that last well and don't burn out quickly. In a review for the SWAG above it mentions ceramic coils that last months..I didnt even know such a thing existed, I always thought they were cotton lined.

Help please folks. If you can please suggest what is the best way forward. This is doing my head in!

Internal battery mods are fine but the problem comes if you are low on power and don't have time to charge or you only carry one device with you.

External will give you the chance to quickly swap for a fresh battery just before you head out or carry a spare for when things get low with no requirement for a power bank etc.

If you're not a heavy user and don't find the battery life is a problem for you then internal will be fine.

I have a mix of both and the performance is all pretty much of a muchness as I don't vape at high watts.

Im guessing you won't be vaping high watts either due to you using a .6 coil in the aspire.

Any of the vaporesso mods will be decent. I have a couple of internal vaporessos and love them. If you're not planning on going high watts then id go for something you like the look of and what feels right for you. After all you're going to be carrying and looking at it all day.

If you want to go more Mouth to lung (draw like a cigarette rather than sucking it straight into your lungs) then there are some decent stock coil MTL tanks you can look at. The New Zlide is getting good reviews or you could look at the Zenith tanks too or even the Jac Vapour 22.

If you want to stay direct lung then others can advise on good tanks.

Thanks folks, this is more complex than buying a new car!

The Ijoy may struggle to fit in my small jean pockets due to its length. I am more concerned with coil longevity, Vaporesso don't seem to have a good name for this from what I read?

I may be stuck with the pockex but really do want to move on to something with a better internal or changeable battery.

I don't think your going to find great longevity with most stock coils. Don't forget that mods and tanks are not mutually exclusive. You can buy a mod you like the look of and get a separate tank for it.

I believe that vaporesso have some pretty good coils. their Euc coils have a lot of fans. Ive recently tried the Skrr tank and I have to say the flavour was superb.

If you want longer life then perhaps going MTL is the answer. The less power the less wear and the less juice you go through. But im no expert and there are a lot of people on here with a wealth of experience with stock coil tanks.

@MrDJ Can you help this chap?

Hi @allanr and welcome to the planet

the only smallish kit ive got are the similar to what youve got the S17, S22 and smaller but wider VIM from Jac Vapour https://www.jacvapour.com/ (15% off code available on here)
coils are the absolute bollox and can last a good 2-3 months. mouth to lung 1ohm or direct to lung which im using 0.5 for a loser draw.
all fixed wattage mods with built in batteries.

next up is the 100w vaporesso armour pro https://www.cloudstix.com/electronic-cigarettes/vaporesso-starter-kits/vaporesso-armour-pro-uk (10% off code on here)
which is a single 18650 or a 21700 battery. i use the 21700 40T battery with mine at 60watts at work and charge every night and its still got 50-60% charge left. as you dont want massive clouds you could buy a mouth to lung tank like the well liked Zenith (not tried it myself) and the battery should last a good 2-3 days as uses much lower wattage.
a little bulky though for tight pockets.

apart from that all my other thousands of mods are all dual battery.

hopefully others will have more of a choice than me but what i will say is for batterys and charger buy from Fogstar 15% off code available https://www.fogstar.co.uk/

Thanks folks folks. Some nice options there that interest me, will need to have a closer look.

The swag maybe dated but!!!! They still sell well and on the market for a very good reason, why?

Well because they work, there small, still look modern and ease of use! Not to mention it so easy to get coils for :)

I would recommend one as they are a fantastic small kit and do seem to last :)
