Well.. I've had the chance to have a bit of a play with me new toys this afternoon and made some progress.
Ordered some likely looking candidates for replacement screws on the Taifun at the link Blackhack posted (tyvm luv) and tried another coil on the Kayfun with a lower ohmage (came out @ 1.3ohms).
Unfortunately, the wicking doesn't seem to be able to keep up with my 'greedy' vaping style at that sort of ohmage on the Kayfun (I've experimented a bit with opening what I assume to be the juice flow control sleeve a touch, but I think this just gets tightened back down when I screw the top back on). May have to stick to 'normal' range ohmage coils on this and use it on VV/VW devices.
I have however, managed to get the Nemesis working properly and the Carvella too (after a fashion.. battery space is quite tight and have had to use flat tops combined with a couple of those excellent OCD washers from Rob at stealthvape, screwing out the centre pin on the atty a touch and winding out the mod centre pin too). Not exactly an ideal workaround, but it does actually work without constantly firing now... may have to try and find some shorter length batteries if I'm gonna use it regularly.
Having got the Nemesis to work, I decided to chuck the Fogger on top of it and see how it fared. Have to say, I've been pretty much blown away by the result... lots of flavour and vapour and it keeps up well with my chain vaping. I'm really impressed, so much so that I ordered another of each this afternoon (both from UK suppliers this time though, so hopefully, no 8 week interlude). Been using my Efest batteries with one of those 'safety circuit' jobbies for a few hours and not managed to blow me hand off (yet), so the Nemesis/Fogger combo is looking like a big win for me... even worth the 8 week wait.
My new concern though, is battery overdischarge.
Any handy hints/tips on avoiding draining the IMR batts down too far (other than the obvious regular checking of voltage) please?
Thank you for the tips so far guys.. much appreciated.
Keep em coming.. this bimbo needs all the advice she can get.
