Help me enjoy squonking. Please...

I want to like squonking... I find it so difficult to find things that work though. I use mechs with no problems, both mtl (1-1.4ohm) and subohm (0.25-0.5ish). I only build my own coils. I use mainly tanks, and maybe this is why I struggle so much to get a good vape from squonking.

First time using the cyclone, currently at about 1.15ohms, using a single ni80 coil with an inner diameter of 2.4mm. Very quickly the atty gets very hot, without producing any real vapour.

I love the concept of squonking, but the more I try different things the more I think that maybe it's not for me...

Well, I'm a tank guy too but since I tried squonking , my tanks are covered in dust ... I'm running dual Clapton 4wraps each comes at .42 at 60 watts , can't put it down really (forgot the wire size) !!!

Forgot to mention I use a velocity v2 clone for squonking but on the other side I see more being converted to squonking , probably got tired of dripping , at least that's my excuse [emoji28]

I've got my cyclone at about 0.5 ohms dual coiled with kanthal, yes it does get hot but that's kind of expected with the size and amount of heat, I've a cheap plastic driptip that stays quite cool. The vape is flavoursome and plenty. I've got the afc set to about the equivalent of the largest holes on the nextiny on both sides. I'll post a pic of my build if you want,

Cheers @Jugg1es. I think I need to go lower. I built around a 2.4 screwdriver, think when I rebuild I'll do a 2mm inner diameter. I'll prob try and nail a single coil before moving up to dual coiling. I'll try and bring the resistance down to closer to 0.5ohms, see if that helps...

@Jugg1es, it worked! Cheers buddy. Ripped out the coil, new one in, about 0.6 ohms, mtl is now great. Just the single airflow (for the single coil) opened up about half way.
