Help needed: Smallest device that can take 100% VG?

Not my thing but I imagine you'll need a dtl device with very low resistance coils, a large capacity battery and not a tpd tank/pod as you'll be forever filling it.

Hi there! Many thanks for your response. From what I understand, you're right, it would need to be:

✅ DTL
✅ Low resistance coils (how low? ceramic needed or better?)
✅ TPD: Ideally, larger that 2ml capacity, but happy to refill daily

Afaik there are very few ceramic coils around and from what I gather they have a long break in time. You'll need a coil that can handle 100% VG but like I said it's not my thing. I vape mtl and a 2ml tank won't last me anywhere near a day so you've no hope it will with dtl.

Maybe something like a Cloudflask might be worth a look.

Practically speaking it`s only the coil and wicking that need to be able to handle thicker juices and you can safely add up to about 5% water to help with viscosity if needed, the bigger problem may be choosing a mod that will last all day, you may need to carry 2, one in use and a fully charged one as replacement. you may have to modify your vaping by leaving longer between hits to allow the wick to wet the coil, which may be fine to satisfy a craving but you wont be fogging any rooms up with a kit that fills all your requirements, will you be adding nicotine?

I see. I do not need it to last all day, tbh.

I see. So what do I need to look for in terms of coil/wicking/power?

I'd prefer a pen-type device, if possible. All those mods are SO BIG.

If VG mixes with water, I could do that, no problem. I do not need very thick, heavy clouds. I also will not be adding nicotine.

If I remember correctly the pen type kits come with a pre set wattage and to make it worse the atties that fit on those ego type mods also have pre fitted coils so you dont have much wiggle room. I`d say buy an ego kit as close to 1ohm as you can and try it with your chosen juice.

Most vapers move on from the ego type beginner kits because the vape you can get out of them is very limited.

The pod kits that are popular now are very slim but they all take stock (pre built) coils that may not like the (low) viscosity juices that you want to use.

If you do decide to thin your juices down with water it needs to be de-ionised water.

Ok, so Rob from Stealth Vape suggested aqueous VG. That might be a good solution, I did not know about it!

One of the websites selling it says:

"Do note that aqueous glycerine (AG) is thinner than PG, so if you generally have an e-liquid mix that is 30% PG / 70% VG, using this product with a 15% aqua level to replace the PG would result in the consistency of a 50% PG / 50% VG e-liquid mix instead. It won’t be as viscous, but you will have a much smoother throat-hit due to the absence of the PG."

I'd be happy to use aqueous VG or dilute the 100% flavoured vg juices that are available with de-ionised water, if that would expand my choices when it comes to a small, compact vaping device.

Maybe @WaitFor1t88 / @Rickster can chime in, I saw their responses on an older post here:

From 2019 https://vapegreen.co.uk/blog/guides-and-tutorials/best-vape-kits-for-100-vg-e-liquids near the bottom of the blog is a contact us.....try contacting them and ask what the latest devices are best suited.
If you are mixing from scratch using 100%vg concentrates (I dunno from where) or if any vendor does them.....then yes thinning down your VG with say this https://thealchemistscupboard.co.uk/product/100-ml-pure-lab-water/ would work.
AVG should also work as it's already been diluted most likely using distilled water, but as you would be adding vg flavouring (concentrate) and nic you would need prob 50/50...60/40 AVG depending on the amount of concentrate used.

A small dripper would be ideal , I have used 100% VG in drippers using cellucotton wicks without any issues. Maybe a small squonker would be the way to go with a RDA on top , however this is a bit more faff setting up than just shoving a premade coil in however it would be a good option
