What's new

Hey all!

:2thumbsup: Hello Alz, Nice to meet you Mate!!! Nice Intro by the way!!!

Hey,

Wow, thanks all for the welcome, support and advice (and for taking the time to read through all of that!).
Puffindoors I avoided tobacco tastes because, too be honest, I figured the flavours I enjoy outside my smoking cigarettes e.g. Cola and mints etc I could now appreciate in my smoke. Also, avoiding the tobacco scent is one of my main reasons for wanting to give up cigarettes. Not a bad shout upping the nicotine levels, I'll see how I get along.

With regards to the taste I get from the device, after reading a few comments, I changed the coil and washed out the tank (after liquid was smoked) and there is a bit more taste now but it's a lot harsher on the throat. Is this part of the process of breaking in a new coil? The harshness overpowers the taste at the moment.
junglist (great name, takes me back!) I was holding off getting more tanks at the moment until I decide if vaping is the way forward. The battery in my set is a 650mah one. What affect will getting a higher power one have on the various aspects of vaping?
The red cola I purchased is from myepack.co.uk.

@everyone else, thank you for the advice and sharing your experiences. After hearing a lot about it, I've got some 18mg (can't remember ratio) snake oil coming in this week although in light of the advice received, maybe I should've gone 24mg! Think I'll buy a few more flavours soon but I want to get my device in order first.

Dammit, I said I won't get in the habit of dropping another long post, maybe next time!

Thanks again for all the feedback, much appreciated.

Just to clear things up, 'mah' is how long the battery lasts. 650mah is a very common size for a starter set for someone starting out as they're usually relatively cheap. You can obviously buy bigger ones and these are usually bigger in size also.

You can get batteries similar to yours but with variable voltage (VV) which would make a difference to the way your eCig vapes.

You might want to check out some I other posts on here about variable voltage and variable wattage if you're interested in going down a slightly more technical route.

Hope this clears things up about the battery you have at the moment.

It depends how technical or adjustable you want your eCig really.

You can get a Vision Spinner which just has a simple twist ring at the bottom of the battery.

If you think vaping is 100% for you then I would really recommend something like an "iTaste MVP 2.0". This offers great battery life, adjustment and you can charge your phone from it which is cool!

Hey,

Just a quick update. After washing out the tank and changing the coil, the vape became very harsh last night until I'd vaped for about 3-5 mins before it became smoother. So this morning I tried the 'dry vape' technique and it brought me to the smoother vape stage quicker.

I've held off buying a VV for the moment (I checked your site Puffindoors, couldn't see the products you mentioned) and instead purchased two pro tank 2's and some 24mg tobacco (RY4/DK4). I also have some snake oil due at some point this week so will continue with the dry vaping technique and also try out different juices.

Hopefully I'll reach the stage of really enjoying the vaping instead of it just serving a purpose as an alternative.

Thanks again for all your help.
