Hello guys 'n' gals,

Soooo.... about 7 weeks ago, whilst a bit pished after some cocktails I wandered into a tesco and bought myself (not entirely sure why i did this mind you) a disposable 10 motives menthol e-cig.

Went home and sat puffing away watching something and it was only when I woke up, relatively hungover, that I realised I'd not had a cig since I left the cocktail bar. Kept using it that day and discovered that actually, despite the fact that I've been smoking since I was about 12 (and I'm 38 now so that's a goodly amount of time) these e-fag things work just fine for me.

Anyway, I promptly went out and bought 4 batteries, rechargers and a few packs of replacement filter-type thingies and I've been using them solidly since. Had a couple of stinky fags in that time but they taste foul now and feel like my tongue is turning into a kipper so I've definitely "made the change".

However, I appreciate that these 10 motive jobbies are all a bit well.. naff really. I owe them a huge debt as they got me off the fags before 40 (which has been something I've promised my wife for years) but I want to make the step up.

I'm looking at the e-cab kits right now for 'day to day outside' - I have some questions but I'll post them separately on the newbie questions forum. Will also get a rather 'grander' vape setup for sitting at home and watching football, or possibly weekends, but for carrying around in a suit between meetings I need something rather more streamlined. Anyway, will cover that in my question later, in the meantime, hello to all, look forward to swapping ideas and sharing my thoughts with you all.

Traj.

Well done. Welcome to the world of vaping. I also switched from the stinkies two months ago.

Hello and welcome Trajal! A lot of us started with the cigalikes and as you say, although not great, we owe them for introducing us to vaping.

Like you, I soon found that the battery life and costs sent me searching the internet for alternatives and I ended up here. That was over 6 months ago and with the help I got on here, I've never looked back.

So well done on switching and finding PoTV!

Hi and welcome, you should look at some ego starter kits, these are great for out and about use, and then maybe head for the ego twist range which allows for different voltage, which can gives some warmth to the vaper like a real smoke more as well as increase the taste.

Thanks for this - looking at these now - they do look very nice indeed!
