Hey guys

So iv been browsing potv for a long time preparing and tomorrow is going to be my quit smoking and start vaping date :D

I'll admit im shitting myself but i know i need to do it for my health

Im going to be using the Aspire Nautilus 2 MTL tank with a 0.7 ohm coil as im going to vape 100 % vg as i think pg was making me sick when iv tried before, not 100 % sure so after a while il try a vg pg mix and see what happens but to try and be successful i thought id just stick to vg for now

and using the tank on an innokin coolfire 4. Any tips on how to be successful guys?

hope your all doing well :)

sunzz welcome to POTV and good luck with your new start.
I get a feeling your 100% vg isn't going to wick very well if at all in your Nautilus 2 tank.I had trouble with 70/30 at the beginning.Perhaps if you're pg intolerant you could look into thinning the vg with a little distilled water. You don't want to be burning out coil after coil as that will possibly put you off.Just a thought and as I said at the start the very best of luck.

Hi and welcome to the planet and good luck on your quitting day.
BUT
As said please don't try 100%vg or even 80vg in the nautilus coils as they will sadly just dry hit and burn out really quick.
70vg is the highest I would go with the 0.7 and 50/50 with the 1.8.

I don't know much about PG allergies/reactions but I'm lucky to not be affected by it.Too much in a ratio does hurt my throat a bit though so I steer clear of the 70% PG stuff that's floating about. It is possible you are just getting used to the liquid itself. It took me a while to get comforable just vaping any ejuice.
If you're sure it's a PG reaction then you can use a drop or two of distilled (not tap) water from the chemist in your 100% Vg mix and it should thin it enough to wick better. It doesn't take much to lower the viscosity.Do a small amount at a time in a smaller bottle.
Don't give up on the thought of vaping.

Hello and welcome..
Very good luck for quitting you can do it mate..
Lots and lots of help and support and encouragement here at P.O.T.V..

Hi and welcome. Good luck with quitting the cigs. Dont be too hard on yourself if all does not go to plan immediately.

The strength of nicotine may have contributed to you not getting on with it before.
What was it then and what strength have you gone for this time?
Hi and welcome btw

as said it might not have been pg that affected you and could of been too high nicotine strength or just shite juice to start with.
what juice make and nicotine strength did you try before and was it with the nautilus 2 and 0.7 coil.
nausia/sickness and headaches are a sign of too high nicotine.
saying that i started 3 years ago with the original nautilus and 1.8 coil with 18mg nicotine and gave up overnight after a 37 year habit of 20-30 cigs a day. i think i would of struggled with the 0.7 coil as it lets more nicotine through as it uses higher wattage.

a rough idea
1.8 coil at 10-14watts max with 12 or 18mg nicotine and then cut down after a few weeks. best with 50vg/50pg
0.7 coil at 18-23 watts with 3 or 6mg nicotine. can use 50/50 but best at 70vg/30pg
there are a few that like stronger but it would be too much for me.
also drink plenty of water as it does dehydrate you.

dont give up and let the dreaded cigs win. keep trying as you will get there.
