What's new

Hmm, it appears I've done something wrong. Vamo V2 + Kanger Protank 2.

Hi all. I've paired a Vamo v2 with 3 Kanger Protank 2s. 1 has Dekang Western Conquerer liquid, 1 has T-Juice Green Steam and the other has T-Juice Quintessence.

All three worked great at first but after I refilled them, the one with Quintessence in doesn't give off any vapour. I still hear the pop and crackle when I press the button, but when sucking on it, there's nothing, no throat hit or vapour. The other two work great.

Any ideas what I've done wrong?

EDIT: on another note I also bought a VCore 2.0 with my bundle and filled it with some liquid I already had. It vapes fine but is leaky as hell. Literally the whole thing is sticky. Any ideas how I've cocked it up?

Thanks Scott. Nothing.

Every time I try it, I realise there's nothing and switch back to another one. It's only this clearo giving the problem.

I'd take the tank, center insert and rubber cap off and pulse to have a look. Also press the right button for 3 seconds to check the ohms.

It's saying 2.2 ohm, whereas the other two that are working fine say 2.3 ohm. Does this give any indication as to what's wrong?

EDIT: When you say the centre cap, do you mean the mouthpiece? Whe I remove that and pulse, I don't see anything. I just tried taking the whole top piece off and it started leaking as the glass came a bit loose and now it's worse :s I do think it's something to do with the way I filled it. Maybe I got some juice somewhere I shouldn't have.

2.2 is fine. So nothing wrong with the coil. Turn the whole thing upside down to remove the tank/glass part, juice will stay in . Then remove the metal piece on top of the coil. To expose the silica and the coil. Fire as normal and observe. Refit is a reversal. To be honest, I would have recoiled by now as it only takes a couple of minutes. Do you have any spare coils that came with the tanks? There's usually two spare with each tank. Signing off for the night, so good luck.

Hi epicpotato, have you tried blowing through it? as you say you have no vapour or throat hit. Perhaps it's not getting any airflow through it suggesting a blockage or something. Never tried the protanks so don't know where the air comes in. Hope this is of some use :)

Just tried blowing through it and I can. Still nothing afterwards when trying. :(

Thank you. Replaced the coil and all good. A bit of a disappointment that one went within a day, but it's great now. May have to order some protank coils, so I'm not stuck in this dilemma again. Thanks again mate.

Recoiling them is a piece of proverbials, my first coil attempt was on a PT and it took a couple of minutes, worked grand first try. Fair few video walkthroughs on YouTube, have a gander and pick up some supplies, cheaper than buying new heads and means you don't have to wait on deliveries if one goes tits up again.

Out of interest, the dead 'un, is it black around the coil? Might just be gunked up, can happen even in one day with some juices (darker/sweeter/thicker ones are dreadful for it!). If that's all it is, wash it, let it dry, then dry burn (just the base, coil exposed, on the battery, pulse it and blow now and then to shake off crusties, should soon see it lighten and then the glow creep through, pansy-ass smoke is fine just let it rest if it gets hot around the connection then go some more).
