homemade box mod

I'm tempted to do that myself but as my MVP will be reduced to back up soon I'm gonna leave it for now.

I have my plans all laid out for a build just time and money holding me back, although the amount I have spent out in the last few days I could have probably built 2 mods but wouldn't have RDA or RBA,

Thanx Chegs
Wont the switch get hot though if its not high enough amps?

I thought this was meant to ne a cheap way to get vv . its already over £70

No the switch is only carrying milli volts, the current for powering the atty is carried by the mosfet/raptor chip.

The main reason why I build unregulated lipo boxes is, the coil resistance is the cheapest way to get the wattage I require. The 100 watt Sigelei boxes are £60 ish,the SX350 board is also £60 and then you have the enclosures, 510's, switches etc to add in.

There is also the enjoyment of vaping on something you built yourself, this is why my £170 Dreadnaut sits on the mantlepiece as an ornament whilst I vape on a box mod and Mephisto clone.

Ah right. I thought that all of the power going to the 510 went through the switch,
This I why I'm asking cos to be fair, I ain't got a bloody clue, I can follow instructions. But can I buggeries think for myself. Lol.
I've done the very basic battery,switch,510 type tin mod but the parts were cheap and didn't last. I thought that a vv would be a good next step. Its gonna cost a bit but I've spent more on the 134 and with you guys for guidance this should be good and Las a while.

More questions now, lol
1. Now ive been advised to stick with dual 18650 can I add the charger board?
I've got a couple more but need to double check some facts n figures

Depends on how you intend wiring the 18650's, series is no,parallel is yes.

Yeah its series according to badaboom and the pic I googled. So it looks like I've got to take batteries out. That's not a problem though,

There's quite a lot to consider with a raptor build.

It's a buck / step down board so the input voltage must be higher than the output voltage. You need to use batteries in series, I. E. 2 X 18650 (or 26650 or 18500) or a 2s lipo pack.

There's no on board usb charging. You can use a lipo balance charger port if you go that route.

You don't need all the bits on mamus schematic. Reverse polarity protection, display, led etc are nonessential.

The switch doesn't carry the amp load so you can use any, tactile included.

It's similar in principal to the okr build which a video of was posted earlier in this thread.

Hi, yeah a lot of it could be missed off, but as I said earlier im useless at electronics so a straight copy of something that stands in high regard is probably the safest way for me to go,
I've pretty much sourced everything, its just a matter of having the cash to splash now, im also considering making a wooden enclosure rather than a Hammond box, I've seen a few on here and they really are beautiful, my next problem is sourcing hardwoods,
