Hi.

I've got the aspire nautilus, and on a vape draw of over say, 2 secs the battery base cover at the bottom can clearly be felt heating up.
Now, I know this is obviously due to the internal bottom "pip/nipple/raised bump" of the neg battery terminal being ever so slightly loose to the battery.
Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this annoying issue, and come up with a simple fix.
I'm using recommended batteries from the shop. ("efest IMR 8650"), the actual battery isn't the problem as I've tried several different ones.

Note:
Casing and battery are all fitted correctly.

Cheers.

which nautilus are you using?
i believe there have been a few newer versions since i last used the original and 2 but never noticed any heat as running below 14watts.
also what coil and wattage are you running.
efest as far as i know are not great from what ive read in the past but im no expert on batteries.
with over 45 mods i have only ever used samsung 25R & 30Q and lately the only battery recommended for vaping the molicel P26A from Fogstar https://www.fogstar.co.uk/collections/batteries

Unclear which mod is in use here, had a quick look on aspre's website but only see the nautilus prime and it's internal.

I am not having the, it's not the batteries quote. efest are rewrapped batteries, the specs on the battery are often false. However running a Nautilus shouldn't use much power an idea of which mod you are talking about may help. A lot of members know the ins and outs of most mods, ie we know the ones with issues and can sometimes know a fix.
Your batteries are from a vapeshop, that to me is a no no, shops will often try and unload crap onto unsuspecting vapers or those they know are new vapers. On here there are trusted vendors. @MrDJ will give you the link.
Us regulars all use either fogstar or 18650uk for batteries as those 2 companies test the batteries they buy unlike the shop on the high street. @Ohm_my_goodness

Batteries should be a snug fit in mods - under no circumstances should they be 'ever so slightly loose', nor should you be getting hot button/battery door syndrome on a regulated mod.

You can try giving the battery terminals and the door a good clean (including any latching mechanism or threads depending on the door type) which may help reduce the localised heating of the battery door.

If a clean up makes no difference you have either got a shit battery or a faulty mod. The battery is the cheapest to replace - I'd replace it with a Molicel. If the new battery doesn't sort it then the mod needs replacing, but at least you'll have a good battery to pair with it.

Says
Aspire on one side
And " glint " on other.
Is it not just a nautilus as I first said?

Perhaps that helps guys.

It's an Aspire Glint with the slidey out battery door.

It is yes.

I've looked at my buddies one thar he bought at the same time as me and his one has a larger battery contact nipple.
His is about 4mm in diameter, mine is around 2mm.
Was clearly a design flaw.
The difference between the two is very apparent.
I shall now contact the supplier.

Nothing to do with the batteries , their in house engineer tested them and my mod.

A faulty batch of mods from their supplier.
Already recieved a new replacement now and a 30 pound gift card for anything in their shop.
Lucky the shop is local I guess.
Had to sign a waiver not to name shop.

Result.
