How can I get Alert notifications on a mobile device?

To receive notifications mobile devices and have the forum act like an app, do the following:

APPLE DEVICES:

Open the following link on your mobile https://forum.planetofthevapes.co.uk/ and click the share icon at the bottom of the screen

You can then choose Add to Home Screen

The forum will now function like an app!
Find and open the POTV forum from the icon on your phone home screen and click allow alerts at the bottom.

ANDROID DEVICES:

Open Chrome and navigate to https://forum.planetofthevapes.co.uk/

Tap on the menu button (the three dots) and select Add to Home screen on the side-out panel.

The forum will now function like an app!
Find and open the POTV forum from the icon on your phone home screen and click allow alerts at the bottom.

Done!

All you need to do is to add the secret code to a new instance and point the old forum to the new uel.

I would then clear all the old cache.

if the old vBulletin is still in use i would suggest the uninstall and the delete data function so you can make a clean slate with xenforo and add the forum. something to the still active tapatalk
