How do i know what Volts/Wattage setting for innokin SVD???

I once saw a post that was kinda helpful when I was new to VV. It said:

'Rough guide for between 1.8 - 2.8Ohms. Resistance (Ohms) +2 = voltage and fine adjust it up or down from there!'

It aint perfect but it aint far off!

Good luck

I use it in wattage mode, start at around six and up it til you find your sweet spot. In wattage mode it will adjust the voltage automatically, in voltage it mode it won't adjust the wattage....if that makes any sense. I usually have it at around 8-9 watts. If I tstes burnt you have gone too far.

That's what was just going to recommend start of at the bottom and work your way up all juices are slightly different and tend to have a different sweet spot, on Tanks i tend to vape at 8-9w but on the Dripper about 11w but this will depend on VG/PG and also the flavour of juice along with other variables such as being out in cold to which the temperature of juice tends to drop so the w can go up.

Alot of new vapors fall into the trap of thinking you run in watts and volts. I did this and asked this with in the first day or so of finding POTV. You use one or the other. I run in watts and i find the range for me is between 7 and 11 watts depending on juice, tank or dripper being used. The best thing is to play around with the range, too high it will taste burnt too low you will not get the best hit. Everyone has a different sweet spot.... i vape at about 8 watts as an average and some will say thats to high and some will say its to low. Its all down to finding what you like :)

havent read it all but to add if you use volts whenever you chnage tank, atty head, you generally need to adjust volts to suit. with watts you set and go and it adjusts the rest to suit your use automatically. some people just set it to 10 watts and job done, otehrs like a lower 6-7 watts. most people just stick in on watts, start around 5 and adjust until they get the vape they are happy with and then leave it and when you change atty , clear, tank etc it will adjust accordingly and give you the same vape.

mark1316 The wire type should be irrelivant, it's ohms Law and applies to Volts, Watts and Ohms regardless of wire type

1.8 ohms using kanthal is the same as 1.8ohms using Nichrome

Also each wire thickness/type has its own ohms per inch rating

This is why it takes more wraps with thicker wire to produce the same ohms as a thinner wire

For example

.32 kanthal at 12 wraps should give 2.4 ohms

.20 kanthal at 6 wraps also gives 2.4ohms

Hope that makes sense and helps
