Hi All, Ok so new to forum, so a little on how I started vaping.

Just over 4 years ago, I had seen a few people at work with e-cigarettes, back then it was nowhere near as popular as it is these days, I got chatting to one of the guy's, and he's like "Yeah, it's great, almost any flavour you like, and I make my own stuff up now as well" I stubbed my smelly cigarette out, and went back into work thinking "Blimey, That sounds complicated"

So back to the grind, and I was thinking I dunno, I might try one of these Gizzmo's out, so sent the guy I had been talking to an email, to find out a little more about how he got started, and he sent a link back to a vendor along with some info on getting started.

Cut a log story short, a few days later I was the proud owner of a couple of CE4 Clearomizers, a couple of ego Batteries and a few bottles of various flavoured 18mg juice.

In all of the years I had smoked, I never smoked indoors, so with new Gadget in hand out I went to the front door step and proceeded to puff away on some Mint flavoured liquid, it was great, like a never ending cigarette, and when I started to feel a little light headed I knew it had done the trick, and I never touched a cigarette again, well I did........But by accident, just out of routine, Popped one in and lit up, Ugh, In fact I kept my cigarettes with me for about a year..... Just In Case......

After a while, and now totally hooked on vaping, I thought I would try my hand at making my own liquid, I mean How hard can it be? Well I knew what I needed, and I knew what flavours I like, so ordered the Nic and Base Liquids from the first UK supplier that popped up on a google search, and the flavours from another vendor, the result was awful, and after playing around for a week or so I gave up, and carried on buying ready made liquid.

A couple of years down the line, and the CE4 a distant memory, talking to the same guy about my Failure at DIY, he said, are you sure it wasn't the Base Liquid that is a bit naff? which got me thinking, so another more detailed search, and lots of reviews I found a different vendor, and this time Success !! the only problem was, I started making liquid for family and friends, and it was getting a bit expensive, this vendor was charging £4.50 for 100ml of PG or VG, so I had a look on ebay and found I could buy a litre for under £10, but was it any good? only way to tell was to try it, I knew the stuff I was buying had 10% Distilled water in it, and the liquid from ebay didn't, so armed with this Knowledge, I added 10% Distilled water to the Liquid from ebay, and made two identical liquids, and tried them side by side, the result....... Perfect, No nasty aftertaste, Nice Big Clouds, I now have bought 5 litres of the stuff for around £20 inc P&P..........Brilliant !!

So here's the question, and I dare say it's been answered many times, but I couldn't find a definitive answer with a search, So
the vendor I am using at the moment charges £25 for 250ml of 54mg Nic Juice + Postage........Drum Roll........ So I am looking for a UK Vendor that sells good quality Nic Juice That you would recommend to a friend, possibly cheaper and in larger quantities, say 1 litre - 2.5 Litre, I have found somewhere that sells 72mg PG / VG for £60.00 for 1 litre, but don't know if its any good or not, so if the name pops up as a good source I'll give them a go.

The reason I now need a cheaper source is because the people I am already making for, are upping thier gear to much higher wattages and bigger tanks, so burning through 30ml in a day, rather than a week.

Anyway, Thanks for reading the above, Look forward to any replies.
Cheers.

Welcome to POTV @Fogmach - thanks for joining us :D And thanks for your story as well, a good read to go with the morning coffee!

Move quickly mate, TPD restrictions are going to limit nic sales to 18mg MAX. You will be able to black market import I am sure but good to get in the UK if you can. Nic freezes well, preferably in PG rather than VG, and if you decant it into glass bottles it will last longer. So if you have any freezer space then it is worth stocking up. The most widely recommended nic seller is Dark Star - the PG nic is here http://www.darkstarvapour.co.uk/shop/72mg-nicotine/72mg-pg-nicotine. Yes, it is 72mg rather than the 54mg you have been using so you will need to adapt your recipes to take account of the higher nic level but this is easily done. A quick plug for our updated e-liquid calculator - just smack your recipes in there if you don't have an electronic system you are using already, you don't have to make them visible to others, but as you tweak the amounts it will work out the ml / g amount you need. Are you mixing by weight yet?

Also, Darkstar is a good bit cheaper than your current supplier, 250ml of 72mg is £14.99 - so you'll be able to make around 30% more juice and it will be a tenner cheaper. I have frozen a couple of litres from there, I bought the freezer packs which are already in brown glass bottles at 250ml each, saves fannying about decanting them. Like I said, get in quick if you can though as we are not sure how the nic vendors are going to get around the TPD limit which might hit as early as the 20th November.

If you buy 1L it is cheaper again actually, £44.99 so cheaper than the one you found online too.

Look forward to seeing you around!

Morning @Fogmach - Aye, Darkstar are well worth your time and cash!!
I use their VG nic and rate it. The 5 litres of VG is good kit and they do concentrates too.

Hello and welcome @Fogmach ! Great intro there ;) Can't add to the info you've had already but I can give Darkstar another thumbs up. Use their stuff myself and would totally recommend :)

Hi Guy's, Thanks for the replys, (Hmmm I'm a poet !!) I had looked at Darkstar, and the one I was referring to in the original post was Blue Star, don't know if they may be connected, but as pointed out the TPD is a bit of a worry, so another reason to join up and see what other people are doing.

Interesting to know it can be frozen, that's something I didn't know, and yes I do mix by weight, I have been using e-liquid Calculator, a web based Calc, and also Ejuice Me Up, so getting around the ratio won't be a problem, just need to update the few ADV's I have, don't want to mess up a 500ml mix !!

So just re-reading, freezing in a glass bottle doesn't cause it to crack? I might even buy another small freezer for the job and keep it in the shed. lol :)

Time to put in a order to Dark Star me thinks.
Will update after I place the order.
Thanks again for the replys.

Darkstar nic in pg i have nigh on 3 ltrs,it gets a little thick when coming out of freezer though but its good stuff.Get it now incase the TPD royally fucks it all up for us.

Well, I said I would post an update once I had ordered some Nic Juice from Darkstar, I had to go for the 4 x 250ml 72mg PG Freezer Pack as the 4 x 500ml is out of stock at the moment, apparently due to a problem \ delay with the Bottle Supplier, but should be back in stock soon, and I'm really pleased with the prices, so thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Oh....... and about that extra freezer for the shed to keep the Nic Juice in, well that's being delivered Tomorrow........ Ha, and I thought I was joking too. :18:

Do members of PotV get mates rates if we wanna rent some nicotine storage space in that freezer of yours? ;)

Yeah, sure why not, depends how far away you live though, Might have to get a Chest Freezer. lol

Ooh good idea @yappycat. Then I could use my freezer for it's intended use rather than as a nic cupboard. What do you reckon @Fogmach. :D

Well I dare say the wife would be happy, Rather than digging her way through Bottles of Nic Juice, to get to that leg of meat for dinner. :)
