it all depends on factors such as how often the battery is charged and discharged and how hard it is being driven. A battery that is regularly being discharged at near it's limit may need replacing after as little as 200 cycles whereas one that is regularly discharging well below it's limit can last 500 cycles or more.

Replace mine every 6 months for mechs and 9 to 12 for regulated and I know I could get longer out of them but there cheap enough to replace and I recycle them so I don't see the harm and prefer to make sure my cells are at there best as I push them hard [emoji4]

Generally every 18 months or so. Single coil high(ish) wattage vaper, normally single cell. I try not to discharge much below 3.6v. VCT5a's have been good to me so I'm reluctant to switch to anything else.

I try and get 2 years out of them, paired batteries, (kicking the f@@k outa them, chain vaping) and relegate them to a single life for a year or so before putting them to rest in the recycle bin at a supermarket.

That is unless I end up killing them in a dodgy mod then they are straight to recycle as soon as I twig! The mod also gets a abandoned to gather dust. Only happened once in all my years of vaping so don't panic.
