I am currently using an aspire zelos 3 with 4ml tank and 1.8 ohm coils.

I use riot salt blue burst 10mg salts.

how do I stop it turning brown? Do I go back to the regular 2ml tank so not as much is stored in the tank at any one point or any other recommendations please?

thanks

I'd guess your liquid has a lot of sweetener in it, which caramelises on the coil tinting the tank brown. Solution is to use liquid with less sweetener in it.

turn down the power a bit might give you some extra coil time

It happens quite naturally with a lot of liquids.

I like really sweet MTL nic salt juices, ideally I should rewick and clean the tank after every 5ml or so - vaping more than that is a waste of time because all the caked on sweetener crud on the coil leeches back through the wick and contaminates the juice in the tank turning it brown and messing up the flavour. Not too much of a hassle on a rebuildable deck as it only takes a couple of minutes to rewick and clean before refilling - but a pain with stock coils..

My left hand is currently useless so I can't rewick/rebuild anything - and the juice in all the tanks I'm currently using is steadily going past the dark amber/brown stage and finally getting to black. The only stock coils I have are either T8 Baby Beast or some for an old eGo cartomiser... So I'm currently sticking with vaping mystery flavoured mud as its still better than using my emergency only stock coil stash,.

Like @John R said - its the sweeteners in the juice that causes it, using juice that isn't so sweet slows down the discoloration..

The heat and exposure to oxygen is going to darken a juice somewhat, even if it is only from clear to yellowish, and thats normal

If it doesnt effect taste or potency i would ignore it
