I'm after some advise please ladies and gents. I've just started mixing my own juices.. (4 years too late).
Ok so bought a kit from a UK seller. Usial stuff, 70/30 vg/pg. Got some flavours and 20 bottles of 18mg nicotine in pg.
My first issue is when I try to use a calculator it says my pg content is too high. So making 100ml I add the vg/pg then add %15 flavour but then when I add the 18mg nictonine it says the recipe doesn't work. Also after letting them steep for a week they taste really plasticy. Not pleasant at all.
Not sure if I've posted this in the right section either.. any advise would be wonderful

Its better to use seperate pg and vg rather than 70/30 base because of this.
Flavours are usually 100% pg based so adding to 70/30 base will give more pg then if your nic shot has pg aswell your afding more again.
All I can suggest is try the calculations with vg nic shot

as already said, buying seperate vg and pg is much more easier and a cheap set of scales helps a lot.
also worth trying 10-20ml mixes first as wasting 100ml when it turns out shite is just a waste.
plastic taste after a week, hmm, not good. was it a fruit flavour you mixed or a cream or custad dessert flavour. the latter needs a good month to steep with a good shake every day.

what is the mix ratio of vg & pg you are trying to get too and what final nicotine strength

flavourings and concentrates generally come diluted/suspended? in PG while nicotine should be available in both VG and PG solutions.

if both your nic and flavours are in PG solutions then you will need to add less PG than 30% if 30% PG is your final target

you can keep the 70/30 premixed base for another juice, just get VG and PG as seperate base constituents for now.
then when you have mixed a champion juice and a 50/50 mtl pal wants some you can use the premixed base
