What's new

I have had a bit of a crazy idea...

Silver soldering is trickier than it looks :( Is is possible to take them to a jewellers and ask about the cost of getting them plated? That would give you a better result but I don't know how much it would cost you.

Mums a good friend with a silver Smith in London, so next time he comes down I may ask him about it... or making pure silver pins as the cost of the actual silver to make them isn't much... then again, may not have the biomech for much longer. :P

Why not, instead of keep wiping off the oxidisation just dip them at the start of each day in the vinegar? That will surely disolve the oxide and the only issue then is vaping juices with a vinegary hint. :P

I normally soak them for around an hour, and since I am now a one mod man, that's an hour without a mod. I'm thinking overnight xD

You might find it's cheaper than you think to have them plated, especially if you know someone in the trade

Going to talk to one of my tutors at college first, if that fails it'll probably be jewellers as that'll 've quicker than sending them off so I won't be without a mod for a while. That's if nobody trades...

Raguri + ideas = :banghead:

But only coz we care :D

Have your forum mothers seen your latest plan :P

I'm just waiting for the inevitable ' Raguri has finally blown himself up' thread :lol1:

.... ruddy multi quote doesn't work now!!!
Hmm, I haven't blown myself up, yet. I have however got two infected stab wounds in my middle finger on my left hand thanks to kanthal.

And Miss Pepper, this is actually to make things a tad safer! Oxidized copper means hot contacts! :(
