I've been trying to quit smoking for last couple months but not having much luck. Can I have some advice please?
I have the smok morph. It says on the coil that came with it that it performs best at 30-80W but mines on 20 and still hurting my throat. I'm using 70vg 12mg eliquid. I haven't changed any temperature settings as I don't understand them.
How can I vape without that throat hit?

if you was advised by a store this is a good starter kit to give up smoking then youve been taken for a ride and they were just trying a hard sell to get rid of stock.
a 219watt kit with twin batteries and a TF tank which is purely for clouds at high wattage.
the easiest way to explain it is for someone trying to give up smoking you need a (MTL) mouth to lung tank which uses on average 10-14watts with a high ohm coil. so any coil with a high number like 1.8, 1.6, 1.5, 1.2ohm
with this sort of coil you can use much higher nicotine strength like 18mg, 12mg, 9mg and the best ratio of juice for this is 50vg/50pg
i gave up 5 years ago after 37 years smoking. i started on 18mg nicotine and gave up over night.
the tank you have.
this tank is for (DTL) direct to lung which uses much higher wattage with much lower nicotine. the usual is 3mg or 6mg max. the coils used are low ohm so any like 0.2, 0.25, 0.5ohm
with this the average is like you said 30-80watts so best with higher vg like 70vg/30pg but with 3mg. i think 12mg would rip my throat and make me cough up a lung.
youve not totally been ripped off as you can still use the mod (battery) but you will need a new tank. keep the cloud TF for later down the road.
the mtl crew can advise which might be best but a lot like the zlide tank
