im in the same boat as you, i have a standard ecig that i bought from a shop and they started spitting hot eliquid onto my tongue so i bought a upgraded version of the tank as they just would not stop leaking. although now with my new tank it is doing the same thing im feeling very confused about the whole thing and have no idea what to buy or anything. if anyone could help me out or give me any advice on the whole ecig market that would be great. im a complete newby to all this stuff so im kinda trying to learn all about ecigs.

i think it is better to shop on line ,as i have found out to my cost most of these shops can charge twice the price and still sell shoddy goods.they are cashing in on people quitting smokes and do not know anything about ecigs.

The hardest part for me (6 weeks and going strong) is finding the right juice. I've already discovered i don't like the cheap Chinese Juice available here in Thailand, so have to order 30ml juices from US vendors for 10 times the price. Some are great, other's not so, but we don't have access to the test packs so end up with loads of pricey juice we may not like. I've spent loads more on juice than i have on vaping gear, even though i currently have 2 unitanks, an Aspire BCD, an iclear16 and an iclear30B. I also have two vision Spinners and an ego vv3, and in many ways i prefer the simplicity of the former, though it's nice to be able to plug the latter into the laptop. The latest clearo, the Iclear30B is the champ so far, but they're all ok. Make sure you buy extra coils, as my 30B came with a duff coil (fortunately i bought a spare when i ordered it.)
I've not had a single rollie since i started, even though i initially bought the ecig to cut down, but if i fell off the wagon a bit o wouldn't beat myself up about it.

When I first started I wish someone would of said to me start with the itaste VTR, even tho it's expensive(ish) I would of saved alot of money in the long run as I now have 3 egos and an itaste ep aswell as loads of cleros and glassomizers and I only use my vtr and my protank 1, and with the VTR coz it takes rechargeable batteries I don't need 2 devices instead I have 3 batteries so I always have 1 that's fully charged and a spare to take out with me. U need to think about a reliable device something that's nearly indestructible x

True. You get what you pay for, up to a point, and unless you've been buying HMRC free cigs you're going to be saving a bundle either way.
Here in Thailand i can buy a packet of fags for a little over a quid, so with my penchant for new gizmos and a dislike of cheap juice, Vaping is more expensive than smoking. Even so, your point is a good one, it makes sense to spend a few bob on a setup that is going to last for a while. I already have a load of largely redundant gear after only six weeks, because when you get hold of something special, the old stuff sits in a draw most of the time.
Having said that, i didn't give up the fags to save money. There are many better reasons.

I do think anyone trying to vape on the cheap should learn how to mix their own juice and recoil their coils. Once you get the hang of it you can vape for a pittance. Personally, i'd rather let someone else worry about that and make my cash myself to support my habit.

Im getting the whole lot from people now, im still a 'slave to nicotine' and shouldnt be allowed 'smoke that thing inside'. Bought one EVOD carto and one iclear head this week. They are brilliant compared to the cheap nasties i was using. Ive been tasting so many juices ive had to get a box to store them all!
