Morning all; just listening to the news and the possible future restrictions on ecigs and government turning ecigs into a pharmaceutical product ( what a bummer that would be!!!!!) and wondering, surely if the government heavily restricts ecigs it will be illegal to buy liquid nicotine so that you can at least make your own juices????? Also will it be illegal to buy vaporising kits/mods?? Was just thinking this as if ecigs are turned into pharmaceutical products you'll get like 2 or 3 (maximum) eliquid choices in the chemist plus prices will be way way higher. Also will they close down all ecig shops so that you can no longer buy vaporising kits accessories etc??? What a bummer if you can't buy juices and kits no more!!!!!!!! And have to go onto lower mg of nicotine!!!!!

Everything seems to be a very grey area at the moment. As far as buying nicotine goes, at the moment you need a poisons licence to handle anything over 100mg/ml. The proposal is to bring that amount down to 20mg/ml, tge original proposal was 4mg. Anyone who is into diy juice will definitely be affected.

If ecigs go strictly pharmeceuitical the prices on vaping will be the same as normal cigarettes, if not more, and the choices on flavours will be next to nothing. You'll be lucky if you get as much as 2 flavours available in your local chemist.

and you can guarantee they wil be some shitty godawful chemical tasting tobacco flavours that the muppets think EX smokers want to vape

Yes for sure some crappy tasteless pharmacy uk laboratory brands, at twice the price, and at very low nicotine mg's....

i guess if we can legally by ZERO nic juice ( as essentially it wouldnt br breaking any restrictions we could in theory just buy nic and add our own ( though the risk of course here is an influx of amateur e liquid makers Od'ing on nicotine!

yes but if ecigs became strictly pharmaceutical only then wouldn't it become illegal to purchase any mg of liquid nicotine, unless bought through a pharmacy, and that would be like 1 or 2mg max?

If they ban/restrict ecigs they going to make it illegal to purchase pure nicotine?

That's what they do in Australia where there is an outright ban on nicotine. The vendors over there sell juice that they call "doublers" which is then added to a nic base. All that the government is going to do in my opinion is create a black market.

I don't think the Government can un-invent this.

3 million vapers (and counting) in the UK alone, will find a way.

God bless the power of forums and God bless China.
