Now when im around smokers the smell is really off putting and very strong but when i smoked i never really notice it. Im breathing much much better and not coughing and spluttering all the time. My eyes which used to look really bloodshot are now whiter than they have been in years (I'm assuming that is because of blood flow).

The best bit is now I'm vaping it feels enjoyable not an addiction.

i would never go back.

congratz.
usually takes a good couple of weeks to detox all the crap out your lungs and then they are on the road to recovery.

Congrats!

I think I've gonna almost the same amount of time without the stinky sticks... And totally agree. I've banned the missus from smoking in both my car and hers (when I'm in it). :lol1: The smell of cigarettes is pretty horrible now. And to think i always used to smell like that.... :11:

Vaping definitely doesn't feel like an addiction. Most enjoyable experience.... Well in the usage sense.

My wallet however doesn't feel quite the same. Probably spent the best part of £300 in less than a month since I started vaping

It is amazing how quickly the smell thing becomes apparent! Congratulations mate, great your enjoying it, keep on keeping on.

Labelled 'stinkies' for a reason.

I do wonder though if ex smokers are susceptible or hightened to the smell. Its a trigger to us and one we associate with something, that at one time, was enjoyable to us. Do non smokers react the same way or are they just accustomed to the stink?

Congrats and good luck going forward. Its not always easy but a damn sight more enjoyable :)

I find it interesting we notice how much money we are parting with on vape stuff but ignored or just didnt notice how much we spent on stinkies.
What was your monthly spend on smoking?

I quite often ponder this topic too. When I was a smoker I'd spend £10 a day most days on fags, but if I was out for the day that could easily rise to £30 and I wouldn't bat an eyelid. Now though, I'll hesitate before spending £30 on a couple of bottles of juice that I know will last me near a couple of weeks. I think that as a smoker it just gets factored into your budget for everything so you can kind of ignore the cost. You know your brand, you know the cost, its easy. With vaping, you can spend hours browsing sites and comparing prices so its not as easy to 'hide' the cost from yourself - it becomes more apparent.
