What's new

In the paper today...

The use of "increasing" instead of "increasingly" in the sub-headlines, set my expectation on the level of journalism here. I was not wrong.
How can they say "inhaling chemicals ...believed to be carcinogenic!"
What chemicals?
Have we got any unknown carcinogens left, that they may only be "believed to be"?

It is the Daiily Fail.
I would be inclined to copy and paste, rather than post a link, and give them the traffic.

There's a radio interview on WNYC with Dr Saxena and Dr Richard Hurt of the Nicotine Dependence Center at the Mayo Clinic :-
http://www.wnyc.org/story/understanding-e-cigarettes
I had to download the MP3 of it to listen to it.

Dr Saxena is just plain ignorant and quotes the 2009 FDA 'research' and the conclusions from the CDC report.

Dr Hurt is a lot more knowledgeable, but still wants to treat e-cigs as medicines.

Both of them claim that hardly any research has been done.

There's also this http://medicalxpress.com/news/2013-12-dental-hidden-health-impact-electronic.html which I think is the 'study' that the DM is referring to.
