I'm not sure what I pressed in settings but it's back. Winner.

I have no idea! I just opened settings, had a look and it just came back!

All mine are switched on in settings, cache cleared and still nothing despite two messages

Im having a nightmare with the new IOS app on Ipad. The reply box keeps disappearing in the middle of typing. It's bad in the forum replies and horrendous in the message replies.
