Hi

Ive been watching videos on diy and reading endless amounts of threads and it seems really messy and complicated, so my nooby question is:

is it as difficult as it seems??

No - the measuring is simple with the help of the POTV app - you fill in your nic base strength and base type, what end quantity, strength and PG/VG ratio you want, what flavour percentage you're going to add, and it'll tell you exactly how much of everything to add.

The flavour blending is more intuitive, but best thing to do is just go for it. Start with single flavours if you want to get comfortable with the rest of it, then advance to pairing up a couple, then the sky's the limit.

I ordered my ingredients the day after I got my first CE4/Ego kit and was mixing my own within the week.

It took me about a year before I realized I was capable of mixing. I am a bit dyslexic so I was worried I couldnt do it, but I have been mixing for over a year now :D Best choice I made in vaping.

Short answer....no! It can be abit scary at first because of all the warnings about handling Nicotene but once you've done it that first time it's fine. I pretty much started out mixing when I started vaping nearly 3 years ago and I'm still here to tell the tale, lol! Just use the calculator, start off simple (single flavours are best so you can learn about flavour strength as even 2 flavours from the same brand will have different mixing requirements) and enjoy yourself. It is really satisfying to vape something that you've made yourself :)

If you can follow a recipe and cook a meal then you are more than capable of mixing eliquid :-)

It really is exciting the first time you take a vape of something that you've made yourself

Just go for it. ...

You haven't tried my cooking :P

1: Can you make a cup of coffee
2: Can you make a glass of orange squash
3: Have you got £30 to start you off, after that, it's peanuts
4: Do you want control over what you want

If you answer yes to all, you can mix no sweat.

coffee= sugar(nic), coffee (flavour), milk (pg), and water (vg)=== doesn't get any easier lol
if you have that mind set. mixing is a doddle!

Mixing is great fun and not difficult even for a clutz like me!

A few tips I learnt the hard way:

When you're buying needles for your syringes get at least one wide diameter needle (a lower gauge I believe) as VG is thick and just doesn't play ball with thinner needles. I would suggest a particular gauge but I'm not sure myself as I'm still struggling with my thin one (hence this tip lol).

Also I would recommend getting needles that are reasonably long so you can easily suck the liquid out of bottles as they get emptier.

Have something to stand your small bottles in (your flavours and your bottle that you are making your liquid in) so they wont accidentally tip over during mixing.

Hope this helps :)
