What's new

Is the mesh thing still a thing?

Remember seeing these things a good few years ago but not takeing much attention, they look interesting how do you rate them?
A genny is the VERY LAST THING you want if you value ease of use :D

It can be a complete PITA to set up and a little knock can see hotspots returning.

Mesh gennys aren't for your sweet and sugary flavours, I use a tobacco apple, a peanut, and some other tobaccos in them - and they tend to be my go-to when having a drink.

When not doing that I have custards in tanks or squonks.

My favourite - Hellfire V2 hybrid with a mesh U-wick (lasted about 12 months now) and Puros Dark. That's a tiny tiny airhole.

Must look into it some more, looking at it and thinking about it it I like the idea.
As @Rob mentions the flavour really is on another level once setup correctly. One of two things can happen when you do your first or even subsequent builds, either you will knock it out the park on the first attempt or you`ll be left fucking around with it for a bit until it comes good. Even if it`s the latter it`s a fun and intersting thing to build.

Excellent flavour - the best

for a few minutes till you have to twiddle with the buggers again, and when they are not right its like vaping the smell of lightning

if you are up for some interesting builds and have a lot of patience they are brilliant.

the downsides are caused by the fact that you are mystically trying to convince a conductive wicking material that it is not conductive.

10 minutes or more on a build, and just when you think yer there pop goes the coil :17:

I've got another Hellfire Mini Mega sitting on a Satburn 18500. Took me an age to get it working properly. Then wife decides (as she does with everything I own) that it needs to be somewhere else other than the place I left it. She drops it - lands top first - drip tip plunges into the cap and screws the whole set-up.

Honestly, I've no idea why we are still together.

I like fiddling with things! are there any Genasis type atty's available now? did have a quick search without any luck.

I think the consensus ended up that using a conductive wicking material and expecting it not to conduct electricity was mental

I can honestly relate to that scenario Dave, woe betide if you move anything of theirs just an inch though :( They seem to do these things if they have nothing better to do, me if I ain`t got nothing better to do then nothing is what i`m gonna fucking do.
