What's new

Is this a good starter kit?

Well I ordered the following today. Which cost me a total of £67.74 which I thought was pretty good. This included a 20% discount. And one of the starter kits was for a friend.

1 x Tornado eGo-C+ 650mAh Battery

2 x RCS - V3 Replacement Coils x 3

650mah will last you roughly 4-7 hours vape time, depending on how much you use it, so dont forget a second battery ( i know its a PITA ) but 1st rule is always to have back ups of back ups :)

Grab a few clearo's to go with it, Not sure what TW have to offer, but pick a couple to try, so you can find one that suits you best :D

I bought another 650 mAh battery to go along side it. I considered getting a 900 mAh but thought it would be to big.

I went for the replacement coils instead. I take it that's all you need to change in the atomizer? Thanks.

I was in the same place not more than a month ago. I started with cig-a-likes from jacvapour... then moved on to evods 650mah, recently bought the kanger protanks... now on my way to buy some mods! like someone's signature in this forum says.. i m spending more on these than i have saved by not paying for analogs... my 2 bits here is that take some time to read through the forum.. lot of information is buried out there... but beyond a point... do as much research as u like... u will end up with more gear than you thought you would buy! its worth it.. trust me!

I'll look into different tanks in the future. I must have spent over £100 this last 10 days or so. I've learnt my lesson not to buy tobacco flavour eliquid the stuff is disgusting. I bought 2 20ml bottles and a 10ml and I hate the stuff. The postage was also expensive from ok-smokey. Doubt I'll be using them again. The only flavour I like is cherry. I've ordered blueberry and more cherry with my kit from TW.

Good effort bud, loads of people go off tobacco flavours.
I think next time you are looking for tanks, you might want to go with the evods or protanks, better quality by far!
Also if you look at the discount codes tab up top there are loads of great vendors who offer discount codes, or use the marketplace.
But hey, thats for later on, at least you have found vaping, and what you save from analogues you can spend on vaping ;)

Cheers mate. I was gonna order some tanks but to be honest I'm overwhelmed with all this stuff at the moment. Thanks for the tips about codes. I've wasted at least £30 on eliquids I doubt I'll ever use.

To be honest not sure how much I will be saving. I used tob smoke one 50 gram pack of GV per week that cost me about £8.50 and papers and filters from poundland. Probably cost me £11 a week to smoke. It's more for the health benefits. I do have asthma and I've noticed my chest us a lot better now.

That's good to hear about your chest, and if you feel overwhelmed, then don't panic!
Someone can always answer any questions you have :)

Once you find the kit that works for you, the only cost will be replaceable items (clearos and juice) If you get into advanced stuff and rebuild your own coils and make your own DIY e-liquid...

You will save money. Sometime last year we did a cost analysis amongst the members... I was averaging 2 packs of smokes a day so about £12 x 7... In my first year, while it felt like I was spending copious amounts of money, it averaged out to about £16-18 a week for the year... however, if I were to do it again THIS year, now that I rebuild and make my own e-liquid... I budget myself.....£20 a month (sometimes £40 if I REALLY want something)

I always look for clearane items, mostly buy second hand mods...and only spend on consumables, new batteries, nic base, flavours, wick and wire (I have a sheet of mesh from earlier this year, that I will probably have for another 2 years ;) )

All together, my first year savings was close to 4k...this year it should be alot more :) You just dont notice the savings because you end up like most of us, addicted to new and better possibilities and it becomes a hobby... or you find new things to spend that money on.

No extra cost on vaping gear can be compared to the increased quality of your health. I have been vaping for nearly 4 years and am completely off the cigarettes; the early vaping gear I used was terrible but the vaping gear these days is much better. I am sure you will soon find something that you can stick with. I bought a Vape Pro 8 months ago and it has served me well. I believe the more expensive mods (with separate batteries) are actually cheaper in the long run.

You have a good starter kit there to get you going. I started on the ce4 clearomisers and an ego battery and soon moved to pro tanks and the evods. They are way better then the ce4's but I can't knock them. They give a good vape. I now prefer the cooler, airier draw on the evod and pro tanks though.

As for juice, only you can decide what's best to go for but there are plenty of juice reviews on this site to help you make a decision

I switched from baccy flavours very quickly and now love aniseed and coffee juices best (not together). Although I am still trying out lots of different juices.
