What's new

Is this normal or just me ?

When I first started out I wasn't too impressed with the flavours till I tried a low nic premium and discovered it was the nic that was making the fruit flavours taste off to me so got a sub ohm set up and changed to high vg liquid now the fruit flavours taste a lot better. I don't like cake or custurd flavours though.

Most of the people I know who vape have only used cigarette type flavours for about the 1st 6 months, then suddenly once they are over smoking they move along to fruity/sweet/custard flavours.

Every time I use a new juice I find it a little unpleasant but it just takes some getting used to - I'm often in love with them on the second day

Yes, I agree. When I first tried Cotswold Vapours Tropical Storm I wasn't impressed but now I quite like it.

I tried 2 flavours from Manabush and didn't like them, well actually Nokomis is alright if I dilute it with a mild ry4 , found them way too strong and weird tasting ! Ry6 was too strong for me as well. Maybe I've got a strange pallete! I've lost count of all the different makes and flavours I've tried and hated. It's a good job I've got a mate who will vape anything. :lol1:
Have you tried the ry 4 from one pound liquid. It's had universal praise and used to be my adv and worth a punt for a £1

No I haven't eyeball kid. I might give it a go. Can't lose for a quid can you ! [emoji38]

Don't bin anything. Put all your unwanted juices in one large bottle marked NEVER AGAIN. It will at some stage become the best ever vape you tasted, but once it's gone, it's gone, unless you keep meticulous notes on everything you put in the bottle and the amounts. I don't know where your local vape store(s) are, but how rocking up at your local store, tell them how nowt is hitting the mark and what can they suggest. What have you got to lose.

Heavy smokers and smokers who smoked 30 or so years (EX-smokers should I say) will have a very restricted flavor pallet due to only eating certain foods from muted taste etc (which is why salt, vinegar, sauces etc are usually a smokers best friend) they tend to only eat foods they know are going to be flavorsome and enjoyable thus restricting some people from enjoying many flavors which they may have tried and didn't like during their time smoking. You can rarely undo a 20+ year bad taste association with a flavor or food, and when you think you will love that flavor now that you do not smoke , most just end up being an amplified bad taste left in your mouth. Don't get me wrong there is no better time to try new flavors/foods than after giving up smoking and starting to vape, its each to their own as they say, stick to what works for you.
